544 doors are supposed to stay in the open position via a device containing spring- loaded rollers, inside the door, acting on the restraining strap.
Replacements are unobtainable so far as I know, and my attempts at a fix by making new leaf springs has not worked too well. Has anyone had success in this area? Just curious!
