Engines dies while driving 200

Duaghter's 1987 245, 250000+ miles. Daughter tells Dad that her car stalled coming down a big hill, dash lights came on. She pulled over, waited, car restarted, has not happened again. Alternator is steady output 13.90 volts. I know the wiring harnesses are questionable in this year, where would I start?
many thanks in advance.
Rick
