Gas Tank Removal/cleaning '67 120: HOW TO? 120-130 1967

Hi all,

I need to clean out my REALLY RUSTY tank on my 1967 Amazon, but first I need to get it out. (I am usually resourceful, but I obviously don't know how to use the search feature on brickboard very well becuase all I get back are 200/700/900 series threads)...

ANYHOW, I assume this is pretty direct and so far I have (thinking 'safety first' throughout the process of course):
1) emptied the rusty gas/bits using the drain on the bottom of the tank,
2) removed the sending unit from the top of the tank
3) crawled under the car to see that the undercoating is seriously thick and that the filler tube goes through some piece of the subframe, at which point my kids needed picking up

I am hesitating so as to avoid a major f-up on this part of the process, so HELP?

ALSO, can the fuel line rust on the inside, too? How to remedy this?

THANKS!!!
