B20 head studs, remove & replace 140-160

George,
I think he is talking about the manifold studs which are 5/16".

Sounds like you are referring to the head bolts.

DO NOT torque the 5/16" manifold stud nuts to 65 ft-lbs!! You will strip them.
20 ft-lbs. should be fine on the manifold stud nuts.

Don't be surprised if the threads in the head are stripped. I've come across that more than a few times. Fortunately, those are easily repaired with a thread repair kit like Helicoil.
