harmonic balancer dying? 97 960 900

Hi all, i'm still fairly new to 960 and trying to figure a few things out. last night there was a slight squeel and when i popped the hood looking for the source i noticed that the crankshaft pully was wobbling abit. not 100% sure that's where the sound was coming from but i would guess that this thing should be wobbling at all.
what are they signs and symptoms of the harmonic balancer going?
