$*%@^!!! motor mounts 200 1984

You do not want those $10 ones for sure. I feel for you on this because I got to do the same thing twice in a year. Replacing motor mounts is not a skill you really need proficiency at. Could not stand how much the engine was moving around and how the rubber was swelling when the cheap mounts were installed.

What you do not need is anything made in India, that seems to be the common link. I paid $26 each for the Meyle from a local Eurohouse(made in Germany). Found India parts in a box marked OEM looked and it looked like the $6 part in a the plastic bag. The India parts are sold at places like Auto Zone, FCP, IPD, and so on. You can push your thumb into the plastic and feel how soft and mushy it is.

Make sure when you order the part online that they really send the brand you are asking for. Have been on the end where I believed a Brand name part was ordered only to find SCANTECH on the bag when it arrived. Sort of worried about that price you quoted on the Meyle mounts. Wonder if that is what you will get in the box.

Have had the replacement Meyle installed for over a year on the passengers side and the drivers side mount reaches its first birthday this spring. I did wrap both mounts in electrical tape before installing to prevent the damage from oil reaching the plastic. So far rock solid mounts, and no sign of deformation or deterioration.

Sounds like the energy from the engine is tearing your mounts loose as you roll down the jeep trail. Time for an upgrade for sure.

Regards,

Paul
