Broken timing belt due to tensioner? 900 1994

I am looking at a 940 with broke timing belt due to bad tensioner, belt was replaced a yr ago but broke again, does this sound reasonable or is this real unusual?
This is a non-interference engine is it not?

I'm wondering if i should take a chance that the valves are not bent.
They should not be if it is a true non-interference.
Can anyone confirm that the 94 940 is a non-interference?
