Decent price for my 740 wagon? 700

I've decided that my '90 740T wagon isn't worth it's yearly influx of money and effort to keep healthy, legal, and safe.

It has 200k miles, needs exhaust, tires, ABS work, and possibly a computer. I have loved having the car, but I'm done. It is not inspected, and I hesitate to sell it to anyone but a fellow Volvo nerd, as I don't want anyone getting in over their head. I don't feel like going the Craigslist/want-ads route.

So, my choices are donate it for a tax credit (let's say I can claim it's worth $2000, at the most. At 15% tax rate, that's $300), or sell it to my local foreign auto recycler. I'm taking it to the recycler Sat morning so he can make me an offer.

What do you folks here think is reasonable? This place would probably strip it and sell it for parts. As with most of our cars, it has many new ones. At least it will live on in one form or another.

What's fair?

$500? More? Less?
