740GL, B230F, Sudden Shutdown 700 1990

On the highway or in the driveway at any rpm the engine will just cut off all of a sudden. Not like its starving for gas but like the spark died suddenly. If I'm driving I'll throw it in neutral and start it back up after a couple of turns on the key switch. Sometimes it won't restart right away though so I have to keep a lookout for a spot to pull off the road. How unnerving is that!

Its not throwing any fault codes. Plug wires seem good and all vacuum lines tight. Could the ignition be going bad?
