Today I flushed and filled the coolant in my 90 240. After I was done, I let it idle until warm (needle in the centre). Then I went in and had a shower. When I came back out in about 1.5 hrs, I went to start the car and it wouldn't. Starter turned over and power worked. I opened the hood and wiggled the a few things, and then it started up. When I closed the hood (slammed) it stalled but not enough for the engine to stop. We decided to try driving it and about 50 ft down the road we heard something that sounded like a bucket of water pouring under the dash. I immediately stopped and looked under the hood at all the rad/coolant connections and didn't see any leaks or loss of coolant in the reservoir. I decided to put the car back in the driveway and find alternative methods to our destination so that I can take a look at the car tomorrow. Any thoughts on the no start or the 'pouring water' sound? I'm afraid to drive anywhere until I figure this out in fear of it not starting once I get to where ever we go.
Also, I posted last week about how the car was stalling slightly while driving after hitting bumps in the road (engine light was also coming on). Still haven't found the culprit but could be the cause of the no start as well maybe?
Thanks,
cton.
