Random power loss at speed when coasting 700

90 740 NA, auto, 270,000 mi. Runs well mostly. Lately, when reducing pressure on the gas like on a long downhill, the car slows slightly and feels like a stick shift with the direct connection they have from the pedal to the ground/tires, rather than a smoother feel of coasting and maintaining pretty much the same speed. The tach stays the same, and the lights and so on, so I suspect the fuel supply somehow. When I re-apply pedal pressure all seems normal.
It's not all the time, but after running for a bit and after running a while and being re-started. I've read the FAQ and don't see anything similar. Any thoughts?
