front crank shaft oil seal screw up, any ideas to help me? 200 1987

after installing the cam and int. shaft seals, I proceeded to the crank shaft seal, which I screwed up badly, and I am wondering if there is any hope to salvage the situation, besides prying out the seal and getting another one. (I have to wait until the morning to get it). I somehow put just the wrong pressure and it went in very deep on one side and the other side is slightly out from the surface of the casing. I don't know the actual condition of the seal's integrity but it looks okay physically. The spring may be bent, but I don't know. i tried putting what pressure with my fingers that I could but it didn't seem to be moving. :(

Thanks for any help, even if it is to give up and wait until tomorrow!
