Valve Racket 900

So I adjusted my valves on my 92 940 non turbo and there's just a little lifter noise at idle. But I hear a lot of valve rattling as I get up in the higher rpm's, like 3500-4000 rpm. Do you think that I did a bad job of adjusting or do I need to replace the valve dampeners? Or could it be something else (like cam bearings or something worse)?
