blower motor in progress - help 200

well, i've finally gone an done it...started the semi-dreaded blower motor replacement.

got most of the "stuff" out of the way, now i just have to remove the side vents and get into the blower housing.

quick questions:

1. to remove the side vents, do i just unscrew the one screw (the one i can see anyway) connecting the blower housing to the side vents? I have already disconnected the hose connectors.

2. do i need really need to remove the instrument cluster?

3. is it hard to get the impeller and motor out?

4. once i remove the side vents and blower housing, how long - approximately, will it take to remove the motor, reinstall motor and resistor, and then put humpty dumpty back together again?

5. any other tips from blower motor vets

the car is a 1990 240. i have been following the ipd instructions and am using art bernstein's page for help.

thanks,

ggg
