Replacing Air Conditioning Compressor..need to remove p/s pump, air intake??? 200 1988

Hey guys and gals. I'm working on my 88 240 196k. Awhile ago my a/c compressor went bad and i took off the belt and got the ipd kit to bypass the compressor. Well a couple of months later I've determined that only having one belt on the alternator is not the way to go, i won't go into it, but none the less. Ok, so i have an old compressor with good bearings i want to put in so i can go back to the original three belt config. I've already had my mechanic remove what was left of the ac coolant so thats fine.
1. Do i need to remove the power steering pump, it seems like i might not have to, or will it just be a hell of alot easier??
2. What about removing the throttle body assembly and the amm and all that, seems like that'd give me some more access..
Well, i guess those are the two main questions, any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks
cp
