Volvo starts then won't start after turned off! 1984

The "box" has a black cover over it. Its a junction box for wires. Its on the fender just behind the battery. The one on my car is 1 1/2" X 2" and probably 1/4" thick. There should be a thick red wire running from it to the positive side of the battery. Its feeding power to everything in the car. If you're loosing "everything", I would suspect something in that area. That wet electrical component would have to be close by. It is the main power distribuiton point for the entire car.

I would do continuity checks with a volt/ohm meter, or the next time it happens just wiggle around some of the wires in that area. And see if anything changes. I could be wrong but thats where I'd be looking.

Of course , if you're not all power(look at dash lights, check turn signals, radio, , head lights, etc,) then we're back to the starting system.

I do wish you luck
