Bertone Ignition Replacement 700

You are right about the steering lock. It appears to be a standard 740 item as does all of the instrument panel, dash trim, etc. I had to buy a new ignition tumbler and key set for the 765 a few months ago and had a little over $150.00 invested with a new switch. That and the labor to cut the darn thing out is what I am eliminating. The 765 was worse because it is integral with the steering column.

The stiffener that is tacked into the ignition access in the dash was broken loose and left me with the rectangulat hole. I will fabricate a piece of metal to attach inside of the dash to hold the ignition. With the Volvo trim in place it will not be noticeable from the passenger compartment.

Regards,
