Driveshaft Centre (center) bearing - went looking for trouble - Emergency 700 1991

I also have done "#4". I just left the disk in there which is all you can do anyway. When you're belowe 20-30 mph it does tend to rattle around quit loudly I might add due to the properties of the driveshaft metal. One benefit though is that it acts as sort of a pedestrian warning when you're in a parking lot. Next oil change I plan on drilling a small hole in the front a rear of the driveshaft and injecting some foam to quiet the sucker down. If the metal dust/dirt/etc shield is stuck just cut the thing off. The bearings are sealed anyway.
