1989 240 cold start in morinig no problem but warm starting prob.

I recently purchased my second 240 i love these cars would not drive any thing elses its a 89 240 manual with 315000k the car runs imaculute its a one owner that my brother in law got from auction for 500 for me for a parts car but it looks like its always been garage and the motor looks imaculate lots of new parts lots more miles left on this baby. only one prob it doesnt like to start when its warm or been sitting in the sun like if i start it for the first time midday it turns over just fine it just takes like 6 seconds for it to start and then once it fires i have to give it a litte gas to for about 2-3 seconds to keep it going. but then it drives just fine. if i start it early in the am it fires right up. but when i get to work and try to go to lunch it doesnt like to start when it finally fires i can smell stong odor of gas when fires so i havent been driving it till i figure out whats wrong Thanks for all the advice brick board has helped me a lot with my other 240. dont know why i waited so long to post this question cars been siting for about a week. Thanks to all that replie.
