Type 1, 2 or 3? 444-544

There are indeed three basic versions of B18, but I know them as A, B and D.

A = single carb, "A" cam grind, low compression. This was not sold in the U.S. except in the Duett, but the only engine for European 544s.

B = dual carb, "C" cam grind, high compression. This is the P1800, 1800S and 123GT engine.

C = dual carb, "C" grind cam, low compression. Standard issue in U.S. market 544 Sport and 122S models.
