checking pressure 200

i thought i would check oil pressure using the 6mm hex screw just under the water pump on the left side. i do not have test gauge but i do have an oil pressure gauge meant to be added to someones instrument cluster.

do you think that would work well enough for test purposes?

do you happen you know what range of pressure in psi i should expect at idle and at higher rpm?

i do not have fresh oil pressure sender but can fetch one from the boneyard down the road for test purposes.... i think it is the same sender for all 240's 740's and 940's...yes?
