1971 142E Widshield Trim Clip Question 140-160

I'm doing some bubbly paint repair around the windshield and had to pop the trim off to do so. I found, of course, that a bunch of the trim clips, especially the ones at the bottom, had rusted away. Does anyone know if there is a way to replace them without first removing the windshield? Removing the windshield just to replace the trim clips isn't worth the effort. So, if the clips can't be replaced without doing so, I'll just hold the trim in place where needed with some butyl stickum.

The windshield could actually stand replacing, and I may do so on nice, warm, sunny day next summer. That brings up the next question: would the later 240 windshields with the trimless rubber molding fit the 142?
