Convince me not to wash my engine bay... 200 1986

i use and swear by..... rubbing alcohol, ya know 89 cents a bottle.put on rubber gloves, soak a little in a paper towel and rub the nasty away.this will give you braggin rights with yur friends cuz you did it by HAND! works great on all engine fluids that get baked on everywhere and will bring that engine bay back to new.this is also a great opportunity to get close and personal with your motor and find potential problems! i am currently in the process of doing this on my "new" white 89 245 with 206 on the clock, that bay is glowing.KEEP THE GARDEN HOSE IN THE GARDEN UNLESS YOU ARE WASHING THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAR.my 2cents
