Fuel pump relay testing for No Start 200 1987

Sorry for starting a new thread on a continuing No Start problem. I'd like to assure getting some feed back after "testing" the fuel pump relay (FPR) on my '87 240DL. With test light and meter I've found 12v to the FPR (heavy Red wire) with IGN off. With cover Off and FPR held looking at inards so that moving contact plates are to the left of coils, neither plate moves to close points when IGN is On or Cranking. With IGN Off, manually closing left coil (FI relay?) no effect: with IGN On hear a click. With IGN Off, manually closing right coil (pump relay ?) produces pump running sound. Heavy Yellow&Red wire is Hot with IGN On or right relay is manually closed with IGN Off. Light weight Red with Black stripe wire(located just below Red wire) is Hot with IGN On. Yellow with Black stripe wire at left end of FPR appears to be Ground. Medium weight Orange and light weight Brown wires share socket just above Y/SB are only Hot when left contact manually closed. Light weight Green&Blue wire just above center Yellow&Red wire barely illuminates grounded test light but triggers pump to operate. QUESTION? Does all this mean that FPR is bad {even though it looks like new} or is there something else to check? I haven't checked for spark at plugs but have assured that I have 12v at coil and on each side of 25amp fuse. Also tried adding jump battery to assure sufficient 12v. Engines turns over as normal when cranked but no start. Thanks in advance, Barry.
