Water pump seal 700

I just made some repairs on my stepsons car. The car had overheated and the water pump was leaking badly. I replaced the water pump and by-passed the heater valve. The car still overheated as the thermostat was bad. Pressure got high of course.

The new water pump is now leaking from the seal where the heater line plugs into the back of the pump. It was a square type seal on my after market pump.

Does anyone know the Volvo part number of the seal, o-ring or whatever it should be?

I have to pull that line off the have a second try at making it seal (I used a smear of RTV). I used the seal that came with the Duralast pump but I do not trust it.

Any special recommendations on the thermostat? (90 740 B230F)

Thanks
