Idle speed adjustment question (perhaps stupid) 200 1987

there are two wires in the blue plug. One is white with a blue tracer. The other one is pink. The pink wire is used with a dwell meter to set the mixture screw in the AMM. DO NOT GROUND THE PINK WIRE. YOU WILL KILL THE O2 SENSOR!!!!

Make a jumper wire with a spade conector that will mate with the blue/white connector. install an alligator clip on the other end of the jumper. Plug the spade connector into the blue white wire in the blue plug, and attach the other end (the one with the alligator clip) onto the negative terminal of the battery.

Adjust the base idle. Then remove the jumper, and the car should then idle correctly.
