Weird idle question 200 1993

Hi: we have a 93 24-0 wagon, love the car !!! Lately, and only perhaps a few times a week, the car will weirdly idle, up and down enough rpms to notice, almost like it's keeping time to some music or something ! The idle then straigtens out and she runs fine ? does she need a tune up (its been about 25K or so - 3 ys..) Once, while doing this she died, started right up and on she went. We will never sell this car, so looking to do whats best.... B
