Car dies and unable to restart 700

Hi Guys:
It has been a while,since my last posting.
This morning going to work my 90 740 GLE 16 valve died as I stop for a light.
I cranked and cranked and the car would not start.I had it towed to a local shop as I had to go to work and the fellow in the garage called me saying that the ignition coil was bad. He replaced,I paid him $200, drove home and less than two miles later I stopped for a light and the car died again and would restart,exactly as in the morning . By this time the shop was closed and had to tow the car home.
It's night time and I can not look into it now. I have to take the day off tomorrow and try to solve the problem.
Does anybody have any ideas of what I should look into? The car cranks but does not start,has gas,timing belt was changed 15K miles ago...
Any comments would be appreciated.
