radio interference AM only 700 1988

I get static when on AM stations in some buiness parks and weaker signal areas.

FM is fine . I get it also sometimes when charging my phone ...it pulsates and is high ptiched.

When signal has static it seems to vary with the revolutions of the engine.

I never get the static near home only the charger pulsating and that isn't all the time either.

Is there some sort of sheilding I need to do ?

I've read here could be grounds and clean connections at alternator.

Does that really sound like the solution?
