Good deal? 89 240 Sedan 200

Saw this advertised locally (North-east).

89 240 sedan, only 130,000 kms. Owned by octagenarian, is in a shop and needs brakes and exhaust (maybe more?), so owner has decided to sell. Asking about $1200 US as is. Has apparently been undercoated a few times.

Had a quick look at it in the dusk: body looked good, no obvious rust nor serious dents; driver seat looks broken - inner side goes further back; looked like some shag carpeting had been added in the back??

Looking for a 240 as eventual replacement for my 92 240 wagon (getting up there mileage wise, though runs very well), and possibly as a first car for my 17 year old daughter.

Thoughts?
