Time to paint the Brick. Suggestions on paint 200 1986

My trusty sedan is being treated to a paint job for its 400K birthday next month. I'm not looking for anything stunning so I was thinking of going with a paint job from Maaco. I'm going with the same color, Dark Gray Metallic. They're having a special for a paint job with synthentic enamel for $300. Clear coat is an extra $100. So with tax I'm looking at $445 and I'll remove all the trim so it'll look better. My question is should I go with or not go with the clear coat. I park in a garage when at home and a parking garage at work, so the only time it'll be exposed to the sun will be when I'm out and about. What do you all think? I plan on keeping this car to the bitter end.
