Well with my manifold stud problem solved tonight I moved onto the rest of the exhaust, and installing the aftermarket cat that I got from VlvWorld a couple of months ago. But the flange is not quite right. The flare on the intake end is a bit smaller than the original. I think this new one is meant to bolt to a flange and make a face seal instead of the more "cup-cone" seal of the original. Would you trust this exhaust joint? I already have an opinion on it. Yes, returning the cat should still be an option. And so is using the old one, if I drill out the old studs that were in the flange.
