Odometer Gear - and 999 miles 200 1993

Hi All,

Just last week I replaced the odometer gear on my red sedan with about 255K. As might be suspected the 25 tooth gear was missing a tooth. Also, over the last 30K miles, occasionally the odometer would get stuck at 99 (ie 245,999, 248,399, where a deft smack on the plastic odo face or the dash would get the thing working again.

Now that the odo is working, however, it's still getting stuck at the 99th mile (251,199 for example). Before I pull the instrument cluster out again (I could do it in my sleep), has anyone else suffered this problem and can offer a solution.

Thanks much,

Marty Wolfson
