960 catalytic converter revisited 900

Ive got a 94 965 and I need a new cat. I've read the posts on this topic but there is nothing recent and I would like to hear some recent experiences.
The dealer wants $1441 for an OEM and thats simply too much for me to pay.
I see there are some cats that are really short in length with no pipes from the exhaust manifold for a good price, but I want to get a direct fit one.
can anybody recommend one?
How is FCP's product? ($248 is pretty reasonable)
From what I've read I dont want the magna flow.
