How to remove knob from wiper control switch, Bosch motor, French delivered car... 120-130

...this is not the typical one-piece threaded on style found with Electrolux motor assembly...this is a 140 style knob with a green insert, and what looks like possibly a screw holding the knob on behind the insert...I need to remove switch, which is held on with the typical nut, for purpose of troubleshooting non-working motor (more details on this after everything is working again), and I don't wish to apply excessive force, but it's just not that obvious...any help is appreciated...
