pinging '85 245 B230F 200

Hi,
Any suggestions on a cure for pinging? I'm using 93 RON unleaded. Tried 95 RON still the same. It is intermittent. Sometimes it gets really bad, sometimes hardly noticeable.

Also, I get a jumpy idle when the A/C compressor is not engaged. The idle speed is around 800 rpm but becomes smooth as soon as the A/C comp kicks in and the idle goes up to around 900 rpm.

This is an '85 245GL with B230F an AW70.

Throttle body is clean, new air filter, new fuel pump, new tune up (plugs, HT wires, rotor, rotor cap all new), new flame trap, new fuel pump relay. Fuses are okay.

None of the sensors have been changed: O2, fuel temp, fuel regulator, etc.

Thanks in advance.
