780 gas tank drain? 700 1988

I hate to ask a simple question, but it is raining hard and I don't want to climb under the car tonight. Is there a drain plug on the 88 Volvo gas tank? The reason I am asking was that the fellow we picked this Bertone up from mentioned draining the tank the night before we arrived (gas was $4.25/gallon then). Tonight I dumped in 4 gallons of gas and it hit the ground under the car faster than it went in! The Haynes manual does not mention a drain, but refers only to a siphon if draining is needed so I am inclined to think that this tank was punctured to remove the gas.

Thanks,
