5-speed 240 - viable? 200

Hi all,
I am looking for an eventual replacement for my getting-long-in-the-tooth 240 wagon, and an early 90's 240 sedan has come up locally, which appears in good shape overall (less than 100k miles, leather interior), but it has the 5 speed. My wagon is automatic, and even though I enjoy driving a stick, I'm a bit concerned that I may not be happy with the 5-speed in the long run (I would use the car mainly for commuting, which thankfully does not involve too much stop and go). Also, I'd make this car available to my two teenage kids who are learning to drive, and don't presently know how to drive with a stick (perhaps the 240 5 speed would be excellent to learn on, perhaps not?).
Thoughts?
