Hmmm - More problems. 120-130

Thanks for the pep talk Rhys...getting a little frustrated on my end. I can make it idle at 800 rmp if I take almost all of the timing out of it and have the screws backed right off the throttle. I'll check for a leak, but can't imagine where one would be - I'm torqued down and the manifold and the head and manifold are recently flattened. The intake rings are inplace.

I was thinking about taking the jets up to a more lean condition and see if I could solve the dieseling - it doesn't sound good. The fuel pump is the one that I was running on my B18 with HS-6's and has the phenolic plate installed (never caused a problem). I can get a fuel pressure gauge installed and see what I'm running for pressure easily enough. The fuel only leaks when I shut it off and it's dieseling away - then it is coming out the vent.

I'll pull the distributor and see what's up there. Man, I went over this thing with a fine toothed comb and it's still being fussy - what a frustration. I should have just run it with greasy parts covered in goop...that's what they like best :-).
