Some Improvement. 120-130

OK, I'll give that a try...I took everything apart tonight again and set the float bowls at exactly 1mm above the carb body (got the feeler gauges out and measured it very precisely). Then ran it again and still had the terrible dieseling. I almost put the old HS's back on. Are the HIF's meant to run on a lower pressure pump than the HS's (given that the pump was on my old B18 and is a Pierburg (sp?)? Once warm it's pretty bad and continues to run for at least 10 seconds!

What pressure should the HIF's be running? If the pinching trick works, then I'll be getting a fuel pressure regulator. I seem to recall that 3 psi is about right...correct? I was about 2 seconds away from just packing these things up and sending them your way for a check. I can't think of anything that is wrong with what I did on the rebuild. I'm not use to SU's kicking my but - I retract all previous statements that I've made on this board about them being easy to tune and live with...the HIF's so far are not much fun.
