Cbrock,

I agree with rhaire's suspicion about the Air Mass Meter. If you disconnect the meter and the engine runs but dies when you gun it, you can rest assured it's the AMM.

Elsewhere, if you jump the prepump fuse to the main pump fuse and the engine runs when you start it up, you can blame the fuel pump relay.

As far as rough idling; the older model ignition (i'm not sure if all models i.e Bosch as well as chrysler) have a connector for the brown wire that leads to the coil which is located under the passenger side strut tower in the engine compartment. Clean this connection, even though it's hard to get the connector out of the plastic housing, this can make a huge difference. There is also another connector behind the passenger side headlight, near the ignition control unit, clean this also.

While you are at it check all ground connections especially the two that are on the intake manifold. The one near the firewall is the ground for the injection system! Also check for leaking vacuum hoses.
