Can't change 240 drive belts! 200 1992

I own a '92 244. I just tried replacing the drive belts. Took off the fan, loosened the adjusting bolts on the A/C compressor and power steering pump, but the A/C compressor would not budge! I even loosened the pivot bolt on the A/C compressor mounting bracket, to no avail. The A/C compressor just wouldn't move enough for me to slip the belt off. My Haynes manual was of no help. Are there some hidden mounting bolts that I need to get to in order to change the darn belt? Very frustrating! Help!
