Replacing inner tie rod ends: ZF rack 700 1991

1991 745T 240K

The steering rack is not leaking but the inner tie rod ends need to be replaced.

I have not done this job before. The plate shows a 3 meaning it is a ZF rack. The boots are still in place. I am assuming there are flats on the rod to hold it while I remove the nuts, but what is involved with actually removing the inner tie rod end from the rack itself- how do you unscrew it?

Thanks
