flickering idiot lights/charging system problem 200 1993

Good evening fellow Bricksters! A question before I dive into the car tomorrow. The 1993 Sedan had all the classic regulator gone bad issues, flickering dash idiot lights that would go out on rev up, then got worse. In reading past posts, I am thinking it's the regulator/brush assembly, but it was replaced on the car less than 2 years /15,000 miles ago. So, am I looking at an alternator or a wire short in the board's opinion? Does the wire to the dash cause a problem as often in the newer 240's as they did in the 87's? any advice would be welcome
