computers 200 1984

I am hunting lost of electrical issues with this car and in my search have come across several inconsistencies.

First:
Why are there two computers? There is one in the engine bay and one by the passengers feet. The one in the engine bay has a vacuum line connected to it.

Another issues that I am running across is that I have two sensors on the head below the number two and three runners and I have a sensor on the block between the number two and three runners. Was this car a turbo? What could those sensors be?

I have an awful lot of bad wiring; what is the accepted method to patch in new wires? Do I just run what ever color I have?

As always, thanks to all!!

Andrew
