I don't to question the judgement of your plan, but may I offer another. I have no knowledge about Meyle. However, you mention a need to procure control arms. I'm thinking you are not intending just the bushings, but the actual control arm. If this is the case, why buy a new aftermarket? I would suggest you consider a good used Volvo control arm that can be bought from Voluparts.com. I did this with a great rear trailing arm and got a good bushing already pressed in for $50.00. Afterall, who will see it? This metal is as good as new. Here is a second option that guarantees a brand-new Volvo part. Make a call and price needed parts at TascaVolvo. They have told me that prices for parts of "older Volvos" are dropping. For example, in May I paid $84.50 for a pair of trailing arm rear bushings. In October, they had dropped to half of that when I bought a second pair for another 240. On my 760, I intended to replace bushings on the rear stay rods. I knew that the geometry of stay rods might present a problem for me to press out old and press in new bushings on my own and felt I might have to pay to get help. To me it was worth it to buy new stay rods from TascaVolvo (they come with new bushings already pressed in). It's always nice to have choices. Good luck!
Mike
