Sorry, I was thinking of when I've done the flex lines when I mentioned two wrenches. :-(.

Actually, I've never had any trouble with the metal lines' fitting to the caliper as long as the wrench was precise (again, a Snap-On) -- it's the flex lines' end fittings that are the scary jobs (viz., avoiding destroying the metal lines' connections to which they attach). But the treatment (first Brake-Kleen, and then multiple PB-Blaster sprays) always worked for me: just squeeze two Snap-On wrenches, and they give way without drama. So it should be the same for the metal line-to-caliper.
