Welll... Since my accident with my 86 Camry vs. a horse (totaled car, killed horse) I'm expecting payment.... yada yada.
Borrowed some money from my reluctant mother who asked me to wait till she's dead to buy a motorcycle and bought an 81 Suzuki GS650 sport/tour/"standard" bike.
Seems like it's not going to be too bad, needs some TLC like a new ignition and speedo cable, but it has only 7900 miles on it and I believe the driveline is sound. Shaft drive too.
I registered it PNO for the next... 8 weeks or so, since the registration otherwise was close to $200 and is up in january. Plus I have time to take a safety course and replace the ignition, etc.

Just thought maybe I could find some other people into motorcycles here. I'm totally new to them (though I got a free franken-dirtbike this summer).
looking forward to 40+ mpg and probably <12s quarter miles... probably lots less, but not until I've been driving a long time. I'm really looking forward to a cross country month-long road trip next summer, when I have some experience.
:) Wish me luck, and if anyone can point me to some suzuki or otherwise motorcycle forums, I'd appreciate it. I already found one called... the GS files or something.
