No, it grounds on the engine... 900 1993

The ground is the body NOT the engine,that is why the battery terminal connects to the body...:

The (-) battery terminal has 2 cables—one to the body and one to the engine.

The Power Stage circuit ground (black) is the one I mentioned, going to the rear fuel rail bracket, which is also the main ground point for the LH ECU (black). The EZK CU main ground (brown) is on the front fuel rail bracket.

The heat sink bolts to the body probably assist in heat transfer, but I doubt they have anything to do with circuit operation.
