Clock Quit when the cold fron came through Florida. I fixed it. Thanks to Art B. 200 1985

This past week, a cold front came through Florida, dropping the overnight temperatures into the upper 30's. I know, poor Floridians, now you know how the rest of the country lives, but we are not set up for much of that.

To make a long story short, I noticed that the next morning, my small clock was about 10 hours slow. I reset the clock, and didn't think much about it. The next morning, same thing. I did a search for what was wrong, and found that I might need to replace a couple of capicitors.

I stopped by the local Radio Shack and picked up a couple of 100 mf units. I removed the small clock, and pried the bezel crimp loose, I unsoldered the ground post, and removed the clock from the housing. I unsoldered the two capacitors, and replaced them with the new ones. I reassembled the clock, and reinstalled it in the dash. This morning, it was cold again, and the clock was keeping perfect time.
